Mihi’s Miyazakeys – Miyazaki-inspired Keycaps

Full collection of Mihi’s Miyazakeys on a Ducky One 2 Mini 60% mechanical keyboard

I created a “Miyazakeyboard” for myself, wherein the top row of keys on a 60% keyboard were all handmade artisan keycaps inspired by some of my favorite films that were written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. I crafted the keycaps in the Miyazakey series with polymer clay over DSA blanks — with one notable exception for Ponyo, which was polymer clay encapsulated in clear resin.

You can see more photos (and some making-of shots) of all the Miyazakey keycaps here and read a full blog article about the creation of the toxic jungle and wasteland ohmu keycaps here.

Miyazakeys Availability

Some (but not all) of the Miyazakeys were briefly available in a series of super limited raffle sales. At this time, Miyazakeys are only VERY RARELY available for purchase in ultra-limited raffles.

I currently do not have plans to produce duplicates of already-existing Miyazakeys, and for the most part, do not accept commissions for them. I may make more new styles in the future, because although my top row is more than filled, I still have more ideas. I may do one or two encore creations in the future that would be available through limited raffles, but I have no specific plans to do so at this time.
